Editorial Assistant - Ebury Spotlight (January 2026-July 2026 FTC)

Ebury Spotlight is the entertainment and culture hub at Ebury, publishing books across music, comedy, sport, film and television, digital content creation, gift and humour, true crime and trend-led narrative non-fiction. Recent and forthcoming titles include Greg James' All the Best for the Future, Ted the Dog, Liverpool FC's Official 20 Celebration, Paloma Faith's MILF, Sir Geoff Hurst's The Last Boy of '66, George Harrison's The Third Eye, Mark Cavendish's Believe, Jess and Norma and Louise Thompson's Lucky
The role
Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in keeping the team running smoothly.
  • Support the editorial team in various tasks.
  • Work creatively and maintain high organisation.
  • Collaborate with high-profile authors.
  • Manage diaries and organise meetings.
  • Keep minutes and oversee the publishing critical path.
  • Update Biblio and process invoices through Basware.
  • Support commissioners and editors with ad hoc tasks.
  • Liaise with teams across the business and external contacts such as authors, designers, photographers, illustrators, Marketing, Publicity, Sales, Rights, and Production teams.
  • Proofread and check proofs, write copy, and manage projects across paperback editions.
  • Manage reader enquiries and manage author reprint corrections.
What you'll bring
Essential criteria:
  • Demonstrable interest in Publishing and/or Ebury and/or editorial
  • Proven written ability showcased through your application
  • Experience/ Knowledge of MS Office Excel/Word/ Outlook
  • Demonstrable understanding of managing multiple stakeholders at varying seniorities
  • Demonstrable communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Highly organised
  • Creative mindset
  • Proactive and adaptable
  • Great eye for detail.

Salary
27,500 plus benefits.
