William Morris School is a trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and relationship-based boarding school. We provide a nurturing environment for young people who have often experienced childhood trauma and adversity, resulting in complex needs.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Education Administrator to join our team. This pivotal role supports the Senior Leadership Team across both Education and Boarding provisions, ensuring smooth and efficient administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise professionally with parents, carers, and external professionals
Arrange and coordinate review meetings
Maintain and update trackers and records
Attend meetings and produce accurate minutes
Support staff supervisions and compile reports
Prepare and distribute letters and information to parents
Manage data entry and maintain compliance evidence for inspections
Provide word processing, filing, and reception cover as required
What We're Looking For
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva
Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities
Friendly, approachable, and professional telephone manner
Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Motivated, proactive, and able to use initiative
Experience
Previous administrative experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Hours & Salary
Term-time only
: 39 weeks per year
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Salary: 23,530 per annum

Job: Education Administrator
Purpose:
Assisting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team for the Education and Boarding provision at William Morris School
Reporting to: The Headteacher
Main duties
Providing administrative support to the education and boarding teams as required
Liaison with professionals to arrange review meetings including sending out review invitations, chasing attendance and updating trackers
Collating, checking, printing and compiling relevant reports in preparation for upcoming reviews
Proof reading reports
Sending out reports to all relevant parties prior to review meetings and the minutes following the review
Minute-taking at reviews
Data entry including updates to the admissions register, uploading and updating of reports to SharePoint and data entry to education records
Sending letters and information to parents/social workers/professionals regarding pupils' school progress
Updating evidence folders and ensuring up to date information is available for Ofsted and monitoring visits
Assisting with filing and creation of new pupil files
Supporting all administrative tasks required by the education and boarding teams including, but not limited to Admissions Register, off-roll documentation, parent correspondence and calendar management
Other duties
Ordering of stationery supplies
Using and creating systems to enhance the smooth running of the department as required
Answering incoming telephone calls as back-up to main reception/providing reception cover for holidays and sickness as required
Ensuring effective communication within the education department, wider organisation and with key stakeholders
Assisting teachers in accessing relevant education information, i.e. statements of special educational needs and Education, Health and Care Plans
Word processing tasks and administrative tasks
Undertaking training in personal and professional development, including engaging with the Trust's Model of Approach
Assisting to create a caring, stimulating, and safe environment for client groups, staff and visitors
Safeguarding and promoting the reputation of the Trust
Taking all reasonable steps to safeguard own health and safety and that of the Trust's client groups, staff and visitors
