Education Business Manager
Location: Sheffield
Salary: 42,000-45,000 per year
Contract: Permanent | Full-time
We are seeking an experienced and driven Education Business Manager to join a well-established education setting in Sheffield. This is a senior leadership role, playing a key part in the strategic and financial management of the organisation while supporting high-quality educational outcomes.
The Role
As Education Business Manager, you will be responsible for the non-teaching operations of the setting, ensuring it runs efficiently, compliantly, and sustainably. You will work closely with senior leaders to provide strategic insight, financial oversight, and operational leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Oversight of HR processes, staffing structures, and payroll coordination
Management of premises, health & safety, and compliance requirements
Procurement, contract management, and value-for-money initiatives
Supporting strategic planning and organisational growth
Line management of administrative and support staff
About You
You will be a confident, proactive professional with strong commercial and organisational skills, ideally gained within an education or childcare environment.
We're looking for someone who has:
Proven experience in a business, finance, or operations management role
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets
Knowledge of HR, compliance, and governance frameworks
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
Experience within education, early years, or a public-sector environment is highly desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
