Overview
Future Survival is an innovative adventure and activity centre offering laser tag, airsoft, gaming, and educational experiences, including STEM and HAF programmes.
We're expanding our off-site and community-based operations and are looking for a practical, energetic, and creative Education & Events Shift Leader to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role that blends education, teamwork, and event delivery -- ideal for someone who enjoys leading activities, working with young people, and helping to create exciting experiences both on-site and in the community.
Key Purpose
To lead and assist in delivering educational, recreational, community, and corporate sessions across Future Survival and external venues, ensuring all events are engaging, safe, and professionally run.
You'll take responsibility for event preparation, logistics, and on-the-day leadership, while supporting the wider team and assisting with the growth of off-site partnerships, school programmes, and corporate bookings.
Main Responsibilities & Session Delivery
Deliver and support STEM, HAF, community, and corporate activity sessions.
Lead and supervise small teams during off-site or on-site events.
Occasionally run smaller events independently when required.
Manage event setup, takedown, and equipment transport.
Drive company vehicles (van) to and from event locations - applicants must be eligible to drive under our company vehicle insurance policy.
Ensure all participants have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience.
Leadership & Operations
Act as Shift Leader during scheduled shifts, providing clear direction to staff.
Assist with staff coordination, training, and activity briefings.
Oversee basic health and safety checks and risk assessments.
Maintain and organise event equipment, kits, and storage areas.
Education & Outreach
Work with the team to develop and refine educational and corporate content.
Build positive relationships with schools, community partners, and corporate clients.
Assist in marketing activities and outreach to increase awareness of Future Survival's educational and team-building offerings.
Customer Experience & Brand
Represent Future Survival with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Support customer service and feedback processes.
Contribute ideas for improving events, experiences, and community engagement.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
Experience leading or working with groups of children, families, or adult participants.
Confident communicator and team motivator.
Capable of running events independently when required.
Practical and organised, with strong attention to safety and detail.
Full UK driving licence (van driving experience preferred).
Must meet the eligibility criteria for driving under company vehicle insurance.
Comfortable working flexibly, including weekends and holidays.
Desirable:
Experience in education, youth work, event delivery, or corporate team-building.
STEM, teaching, or training-related background.
First Aid qualification (training can be provided).
Supervisory or leadership experience.
