Education Health Care Support Assistant - PMLD
Pay: 90 - 100 per day (depending on experience)
Location: Plymouth
Start Date: ASAP - ongoing, with potential to extend into the new year and become a contracted school role
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Education Health Care Support Assistant to join a welcoming special school in Whitleigh supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people who require a high level of care and individualised support.
About the Role:
Support students with complex learning, physical, and medical needs in a nurturing school environment.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help each child access learning and personal development opportunities.
Assist with personal care, mobility, and communication as required.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and medical staff to provide consistent, holistic support for each student.
About You:
Kind, patient, and committed to helping children reach their full potential.
Confident supporting children with profound learning difficulties and complex needs.
Comfortable assisting with personal care and using specialist equipment (training provided).
Experience in an SEN or care-based setting is desirable, but a caring attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
