Job summary
The Defence Intelligence Training Group is currently transforming into a Defence Intelligence Academy. The Academy was launched in February 2025 and aims to become a world leading Intelligence and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) training, education and research academy which will provide UK Defence, Partners Across Government (PAG) and international allies, with decision advantage.
The Education Outreach & Partnerships Manager will work within the Learning Innovation Team. Led by the Chief Learning Officer (CLO), it is a dynamic and forward thinking team, whose primary role is to develop how training and education across the Academy is delivered. It does so through a focus on accreditation, education and continued professional development, academic outreach and partnerships with universities and other institutions, working with the education technology team on synthetic and other digitised training, and implementing new learning methodologies.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to shape the Defence Intelligence Academy's educational reach and impact through meaningful collaboration. As the Education Outreach & Partnerships Manager, you will lead on scoping, building, and managing strategic relationships across Defence, wider government, academia, industry, and other key partners.
In this influential role, you'll connect the Academy with a broad network of experts and institutions to support and enrich its academic and educational output. From one-off lectures, research collaborations and innovation seminars, to contracted delivery, workshops, symposiums, and other exciting initiatives -- you'll have the scope to design and deliver impactful engagements that respond to emerging needs and drive academic excellence.
This is an exciting chance to shape a growing area of activity and to ensure the Academy remains outward-looking, well-connected, and academically agile in a fast-evolving defence and security landscape.
You will work primarily at RAF Wyton and will need to routinely engage with staff across multiple Defence Intelligence sites, often requiring travel. You will also need to maintain your network of stakeholders.

The successful candidate will:
Have proven experience of building and managing partnerships and relationships across a range of capabilities
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to confidently engage with senior stakeholders
Have strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively
Have an understanding of higher and/or further educational organisations, research environments or professional development systems
Have a creative mindset for developing outreach or engagement formats (eg workshops, guest lectures, symposiums)
Desirable Criteria:
Have experience of working within or alongside academic institutions or training organisations
