Purpose of the post



Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do. Working mainly in the Education Departments as a core member of the modernising education team. Playing a central role to support all aspects relating to projects which are the Council's priority.

Responsibility for functions



Ordering office resources under the supervision of the Programme Manager.

Main duties



Responsible for implementing work packages including: Collecting and analysing relevant information to produce specific work packages within agreed timescales Completing research and preparing statistical information, including financial aspects Undertaking general administrative tasks for the programme including arranging and minuting meetings, translating documents and arranging translation Completing work associated with the requirements of statutory processes for school re-organisation (complying with relevant legislation) Informing staff in other Council services about the Programme Receiving and responding to information requests relating to issues associated with the Programme Working jointly to establish a robust filing system Completing work in accordance with instructions received and maintain version control for documents Operating as an initial contact point for internal and external enquiries relating to the Programme Managing Programme orders and invoices Commissioning work from external consultants as required Creating a range of different documents e.g. a website update bulletin Any other relevant responsibilities identified by the Line Manager Responsibility for self-development. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council's Health and Safety Policy. Operate within the Council's policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality. Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council's information management guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation. Commitment to reducing the Council's carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council's Carbon Footprint. Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job. Responsibility to report any concern or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.

Special circumstances



Vaild current driving licence and car insurance for business use. A requirement to work alone outside of usual office hours as needed * The postholder will be required to work across Gwynedd on occasion.
