Education Support Worker
This Education Support Worker role in South Tyneside is ideal for someone who enjoys helping young people stay motivated, engaged and confident in school. You'll work across different year groups, offering practical and emotional support where it's needed.
What you'll be doing
You'll support pupils during lessons, help them stay on track and work with teachers to create a positive learning atmosphere. This role is varied and rewarding, especially if you're considering a future in education or youth support.
Key responsibilities

• Supporting learners 1:1 and in small groups
• Encouraging participation and focus
• Helping teachers with classroom organisation
• Managing simple behaviour routines
• Building positive connections with pupils

You'll be great in this role if you

• Enjoy working with young people
• Communicate clearly and calmly
• Stay patient and supportive during busy moments
• Hold or can obtain an enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
