The Education Welfare Service are seeking to recruit the above.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and professional team, working alongside schools to raise attendance. The post holder will have previous experience of working in schools and/or educational establishments and the post requires both support and challenge. The particular emphasis of this post will be to work on Elective Home Education and applicants must have a good working knowledge of this.
We are seeking a confident person who can offer prompt, consistent and rigorous intervention in line with statutory processes for families who chose to Electively Home Educate and advising all schools regarding compliance with legislation/DfE guidance in relation to this and where appropriate identify and challenge practice as well as offer support.
The post will also require some casework on Elective Home Education and other duties outlined within the Education Welfare Service.
The post holder will be supported by colleagues and will also have access to regular supervision.
Shortlisting will take place week beginning 6th October 2025 and interviews will be held on week beginning 13th October 2025
