Education Welfare Officer (EWO)
FTE Salary Range: Grade 8 33,326 - 36,141 per annum, inclusive of Crawley Market Supplement.
Actual Salary: 28,198 - 30,580 per annum, inclusive of Crawley Market Supplement. Spinal point to be agreed according to experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, term time only
Location: Crawley

The EWO will:

• Devise and implement strategies to achieve and sustain high levels of school attendance
• Mentor students to support improved attendance
• Track and monitor the attendance of all students alongside the pastoral administrators
• Assist the school in meeting the legal requirements regarding school attendance
• Liaise with external agencies where appropriate
• Support and maintain Hazelwick's high expectations regarding attendance

Experience of working in similar roles or in a school- based role would be beneficial.
Support and training will be provided as necessary.
The post-holder must be a car driver with access to their own car.
