We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of catering operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. This role involves managing a team, ensuring high-quality service, and delivering exceptional catering experiences for diverse events and clients. Responsibilities
Plan, organise, and supervise catering services for events, functions, and daily operations
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
Manage kitchen staff, including supervising food production, serving staff, and support personnel
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across all operations
Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and customise menus accordingly
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
Develop staff schedules, assign tasks, and oversee training programmes to maintain team productivity
Maintain detailed records of operations, budgets, and health & safety compliance
Foster a positive team environment that promotes excellent customer service and professional growth
Skills
Proven experience in supervising or managing catering or restaurant teams with strong leadership qualities
Extensive culinary experience with skills in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production environments
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, staff, and suppliers
Experience in hospitality or hotel environments is highly desirable
Ability to lead a team confidently while maintaining high service standards
Competence in managing budgets, stock control, and operational logistics
Previous barista or serving experience is advantageous but not essential
