We are seeking to recruit an Educational Intervention Officer to take responsibility for providing a complementary and supportive service to colleagues and external agencies that work with students and their families whose difficulties are providing a barrier to their learning, attendance and progress at school.


This role was introduced last year, with a view of improving learning and raising attainment, improving attendance, supporting SEND pupils and raising standards of behaviour in designated schools within the Trust.


The role will focus on the following key aspects:



To improve the attendance of identified pupils. To improve the punctuality of identified pupils. To raise whole school culture with regards to regular attendance. To improve the behaviour and wellbeing of individual children. To support children who are experiencing barriers to learning. To support learning at school and encourage links between home and school. To liaise with relevant external agencies to support the attendance and learning of identified pupils.

The successful applicant may be required to carry out other reasonable duties commensurate with the position.
