The School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is seeking an experienced academic administrator with experience of managing educational projects for the post of Educational Projects Manager (maternity cover).
The Educational Projects Manager will be a member of the Clinical School administration team which is based in the Academic Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington, but will also be expected to work occasionally on other sites as required.
The role will involve leading on a range of educational projects, varying in scale and complexity. Larger projects will typically require the establishment and coordination of working groups, scheduling and facilitating meetings, progressing actions between meetings, and engaging in consultation with students and other stakeholders. In addition, the role will include managing smaller projects with more focused objectives and shorter timelines, requiring a flexible and efficient approach to delivery.
The postholder will have a strong commitment to Continuous Improvement (CI) across all areas of academic administration and will be expected to apply to become a CI Associate Practitioner within the University's Focus programme. They will skill and empower other team members to enable smarter, more efficient working, to respond to current challenges and to promote positive change.
The successful applicant will have significant recent and direct experience of student administration in higher education and will also have experience of managing complex projects within an educational environment. They will have excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent organisational skills, and will have the ability to manage a broad workload in an efficient and adaptable manner.
