You'll provide
psychological services to local schools
through consultation, direct work, and staff training supporting meaningful, lasting change. At Keys, we value professional development and offer regular CPD and opportunities to pursue your interests.
This is a great opportunity to
shape and grow our service,
working alongside our Principal EP, AP's, and clinical colleagues such as SaLTs and OTs. You'll also have the chance to contribute to local and national service development, supervision, and collaborative multi-disciplinary work.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist input on assessment, teaching, and special educational needs.
Monitor progress and adapt interventions to ensure effectiveness
Support schools in identifying and addressing systemic needs, including safeguarding concerns, following legal procedures
Offer psychological support during critical incidents.
Deliver and embed training on trauma-informed approaches.
Provide consultation and advice on psychological assessments, interventions, and trauma-informed practices across services.
Supervise and support assistant psychologists and other team members, including peer supervision and reflective supervision for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
Contribute a psychological perspective to service development and project planning.
Advise on addressing psychological needs and implementing systemic changes.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with local authorities, NHS services, and other agencies.
About you
Essential:
HCPC Registered
Essential:
Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology -- a minimum of a Master's degree if qualified before 2007, or a completed or in-progress Doctorate for those qualifying after.
Essential:
An understanding of the UK educational system and of legislation, national guidelines
Essential:
Experience of providing consultation, training, support and supervision
Essential:
Ability to assess and manage risk and make complex judgements about risk issues
Desirable:
Previous experience of working with independent special schools.
