Why not gain or expand your classroom teaching experience in Cambridge, or at one of our Study Holidays centres. Experienced and newly qualified teachers, welcome.

Whether you hold a CELTA/CertTESOL (or equivalent), a PGCE, or a degree in English, Primary Education or Modern Foreign Languages, we have summer teaching opportunities to suit you.

We are a British Council-accredited provider of summer study holidays, welcoming over 6,000 international students (ages 8-17) each year. Students attend engaging English lessons per week, alongside a full programme of activities and excursions, creating a fun, multicultural teaching environment.

You just need to bring your professionalism, expertise (and your toothbrush if you wish to be residential), Our residential contracts include full-board, accommodation.

Dates:

Flexible 3-8 weeks between 20th June - mid/late August 2026

Hours: Options of contracts from 16, 32 or 42 hours per week

Pay and hours for Non-Residential Teachers

:

42 hours per week over 6 days.

Pay: 624.60 per week / 629.60 1+ years' experience / 639.60. for 3+ years' experience + holiday entitlement.

Hours: 6 days per week (usually Monday to Saturday). 15-30 hours teaching + teacher admin time, welfare of student time and/or leading excursions/activities

32 hours per week over 5 days.

Pay: 520.67 per week / 525.67 for 1+ years' experience / 535.67 for 3+ years' experience + holiday entitlement.

Hours: 30 hours teaching + 2 hours CPD + admin, only over 5 days per week (usually Monday to Friday)

16 hours per week over 5 days (usually Monday to Friday).

Pay: 260.33 per week / 265.33 for 1+ year's experience / 275.33 for 3+ years' experience + holiday entitlement.

Hours: 15 hours teaching + 1 hour CPD over 5 days per week (usually Monday to Friday)

Pay & Hours for Residential Teachers (42 hours per week over 6 days):



Pay:

577.47 per week / 583.03 for 1+ year experience / 594.14 for 3+ years' experience + holiday entitlement

Hours: 6 days per week (usually Monday to Saturday). 15-30 hours teaching + teacher admin time, welfare of student time and/or leading excursions/activities*

Some of what you need to become part of the Stafford House Teaching Team:



Degree level education (preferred) CELTA/CertTESOL (or equivalent), or PGCE in English, MFL or Primary Enthusiasm for teaching and working with young learners Understanding of safeguarding practices Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor visas)You must have the right to work in the UK
TEFL/MA TESOL qualifications must include a minimum of 6-hours observed teaching practice. This is where you were observed teaching students in a live environment as part of your qualification and must be evidenced via your qualification transcript.
