Kings Young Learners are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and driven EFL teachers to join our teams at one of our UK summer schools this summer. We have a vacancy to start on the 9th or 10th of July for 3 weeks. Our school is located in Downside school in Stratton on the Fosse.
The main role of the Teacher is to provide EFL instruction to our international students. Some of our centres operate a double shift system where half the students have lessons in the morning and the other half in the afternoon, so there are a few different teacher contract options.
Teachers will have 30 contact hours of teaching and will spend a 6th non-teaching day either leading a full day excursion or being on site to help with arrivals and departures, or general office duties. Teachers are also allocated 6 hours of paid preparation time on this contract.
If a single shift is in operation, teachers are expected to teach 15 hours per week and to also work a number of daytime and evening activity sessions and a full-day excursion as well as monitoring at meal and breaktimes on a rota basis. Teachers are allocated 3 hours paid preparation time in this scenario.
Teaching staff on both these contracts work a 6-day week and work up to 47 hours per week.
There are also a small number of limited positions at centres for non-residential teachers who can teach 15 or 30 hours only over 5 days.
