Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Poultry Operative to join our team. This is a part time weekend position requiring commitment, attention to detail, and excellent timekeeping. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring high standards of poultry welfare, egg quality, and cleanliness across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operate the automated egg packing station to accurately pack eggs in a timely and efficient manner.

Walk poultry houses daily to monitor and check the welfare of hens, reporting any concerns immediately.

Clean and maintain store rooms and the egg packing store on a daily basis to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.

Keep accurate daily records of egg numbers and report production figures as required.

Follow all company procedures relating to biosecurity, hygiene, and animal welfare.

Carry out any additional tasks reasonably required to support the smooth running of the site.

Requirements

Reliability and excellent timekeeping are essential.

Ability to follow procedures and work independently as well as part of a team.

Attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills.

A responsible attitude towards animal welfare.

Physically fit, as the role involves walking, lifting, and manual handling.

Previous experience in agriculture, poultry, or food production is desirable but not essential (full training will be provided).

Hours:

Saturday and Sunday

8am - 2pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.00-14.00 per hour
