About Us We're Nellie Supports - the UK's largest private social work practice. Our sister brand, Little Nellies, exists for one reason: to fight for children with SEND when the system lets them down. We fix rubbish EHCPs, challenge councils that don't listen, and support families through tribunal appeals. We're bold, we're compassionate, and we don't do corporate nonsense. The Role We're looking for an EHCP Caseworker to join our Little Nellies team. You'll work directly under our EHCP Lead, supporting families through the EHCP process - from initial applications to tribunal appeals. This isn't a desk job where you tick boxes. You'll be advocating for children, challenging local authorities, and making a real difference to families who are fighting for their kids' futures. What You'll Be Doing - Supporting families through EHCP applications, reviews, and appeals - Reviewing existing EHCPs and identifying where they fall short - Preparing evidence packs for mediation and tribunal hearings - Liaising with local authorities, schools, and health professionals - Advising parents on their rights and the EHCP process - Managing a caseload of EHCP cases from start to finish - Writing reports, letters, and submissions that actually get results - Attending meetings and tribunals to advocate for children - Working collaboratively with our EHCP Lead and wider team - Responding to enquiries within 48 hours and keeping families updated What We're Looking For Essential: - Experience working with EHCP processes (either professionally or through lived experience) - Strong understanding of SEND legislation and the Education, Health and Care framework - Excellent written communication skills - you'll be writing reports and submissions that need to be clear, compelling, and evidence-based - Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize workload - Compassion and empathy for families navigating a complex, often frustrating system - Confidence to challenge local authorities and advocate for children - Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines Desirable: - Qualification or background in education, social work, pyschology, or SEND support - Experience with tribunal appeals or mediation - Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities What You'll Get - 25,000 per annum - The chance to make a genuine difference to children and families - Working with a team that values expertise, compassion, and a bit of personality - Ongoing training and professional development - A workplace that doesn't take itself too seriously (but takes the work very seriously) How to Apply Send your CV and a cover letter to nellie@nelliesupports.com. Tell us why you want to work with Little Nellies and what makes you the right person to fight for kids with SEND.
