We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety Associate to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while fostering a culture of safety within the organisation.
Duties
Compliance Monitoring- assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with all local regulations and Gill's ISO14001, ISO9001 accreditations. In addition, support the attainment of the ISO45001 Health & Safety management system.
Perform root cause analysis for incidents and accidents, identifying areas for improvement.
Prepare detailed reports on findings from inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
Provide training to staff on health and safety practices, including first aid procedures.
Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices in environmental health and safety.
Experience
Ability to engage throughout a multi-functional operation.
Well organised and methodical.
Good problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of risk assessing.
Ability to achieve results in a fast moving, technological environment.
Fluent with MS Office and Excel.
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week. Working across both sites, Gill Instruments and Gill Sensors and Control in Lymington, Hampshire.
Flexibility on start times and option to work from home one day a week after probation period.
