Position Summary




Summary




With minimum supervision, the EHS Lead will manage and coordinate all aspects of the location's goals and objectives in environmental, health and safety.


The role provides expertise in the development, implementation and management of effective Safety, Health, and Environment procedures & systems. The EHS Leader routinely analyses hazardous situations and identifies alternative courses of action, oversees activities in the business to ensure alignment with regulations, policies, and procedures.

Lead & guide all the EHS initiatives within the location. Make implementation and results the top priority and regularly updates the location's EHS plans. Ensure the location is implementing and adhering to the EHS principles, techniques and methodologies. Maintain and develop the location site EHS plan coordinating with all involved personnel. Complete Parker's EHS compliance assessments in the individual site. Problem solve EHS compliance issues to identify improvement opportunities. Identify, coordinate, manages and provide EHS training to staff at all levels. Ensure ongoing EHS education of all employees at the assigned site. Provide technical and operational recommendations in meeting EHS goals, minimising the risk of business interruption due to non-compliance, and maintaining a safe and accident-free work place. Ensure energy consumption for facilities and capitalise on energy efficiency opportunities available at the local level. Work with and support site Facilities team in the implementation of best safe practices, providing cover during holiday absences where required. Manage health surveillance for the site.

Qualifications




Qualifications



Passion & proactivity in driving EHS initiatives and continuous improvement. Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in similar position within the relevant environment. EHS qualifications are required. Relevant university degree would be an advantage. Good understanding of lean methodologies is desired. Proven experience in working standalone role. Confident in managing stakeholders at all levels. A self-starter and able to self-prioritise.
