We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in a care homes settings, assisting with all personal hygiene, at meal times, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a supportive environment for our clients.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities and social interactions. Maintain accurate records of client care and progress according to established care plans. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Assist with medication management as per guidelines and training provided. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT systems relevant to client care documentation. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members. Familiarity with creating or following care plans is beneficial. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service users.
