Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electric Motor Fitter to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans etc. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude. Duties

Dismantle and repair of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans etc Conduct inspections and repair of machinery to ensure optimal performance Use hand tools and power tools to carry out fitting tasks accurately and efficiently Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs as necessary Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve technical problems Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations Document work activities, inspections, and repairs in accordance with company procedures

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Electrical Fitter or in a similar mechanical role Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws Ability to read technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals Good organisational skills with attention to detail Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or fitting are desirable but not essential Commitment to safety standards and procedures
