About the Role

As a guide, your main job is to lead 1.5-hour tours through the stunning Charlton Park Estate (and possibly our base in Kingsclere, Hampshire).

You'll introduce guests to their electric scooters, run a safety session, and guide them along scenic routes, while ensuring everyone is safe, informed, and having an awesome time.

This is a people-focused, energetic role that's ideal for someone who enjoys the outdoors, has a passion for adventure, and wants to help others have a blast on their ride.

Main Responsibilities

Set up scooters and equipment before each tour Greet guests, get them signed in, and fitted with helmets Lead safety briefings and practice rides Guide groups on our set routes, ensuring safety and group cohesion Share fun facts, history, and stories about the estate Keep the vibe fun, relaxed, and safe (even in the rain!) Capture group photos/videos along the tour Send quick updates to your manager during tours Return to base, debrief the group, clean down equipment, and log reports (Each tour takes about 3 hours from start to finish)*
Scooter experience not required - full training provided

Additional Duties

Clean and maintain scooters and gear Keep base area, bathrooms, and kit tidy Help manage bookings and paperwork Help with our social medis Assist with scooter maintenance and base repairs Run our axe throwing activity Answer bookings phones + messages Apply first aid when necessary (appropriate to your training) Help with marketing (e.g. delivering posters and flyers) Conduct regular route checks and maintenance Stay up to date with team training and safety guidance

What We're Looking For

A people-first attitude, full of enthusiasm and energy Friendly, confident communicator with a clear speaking voice Reliable and safety-conscious with a professional approach Hands-on, can-do mindset with initiative Strong team player who follows instructions Enjoys the outdoors--rain, mud, or shine! Physically fit enough for active work (reasonable adjustments welcome) Over 18 years old Must have own transport to Charlton Park Estate (SN16 9RU)

Bonus Points For:

Driving licence First aid training (training avail for new staff) , hospitality, tourism, or customer service Marketing, sales and outdoor activity experience is a big plus too

Hours & Pay

14.00 per hour 2 positions avail (2 or 3 days a week) Possible shift schedules: (Fridays + Sundays) (Mon, Weds, Thurs) Possible to organise different days and times for shift schedule for the right candidate Plenty of opportunity for extra shifts during peak season Normally 9am - 4/6pm (however sometimes changes (earlier start/later finish due to how busy day is) Temporary contract from Mid July to 1st Sept (potential for longer for right candidate as we run year round)

The Application Process

Initial interview via phone or Zoom (End June - Early July) Come for a short training session and/or to shadow a full customer tour at our Charlton Park Base Begin assisting on tours alongside experienced guides Gradually progress to full Lead Guide role (with full training provided)
