Our client has an opportunity for an Electrical Circuit Designer to join them on a contract basis until August 2026.
Role: Electrical Circuit Designer
Location: Filton, 60% onsite
Hours: 35 per week
Hourly Rate: 46 per hour via umbrella, inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS required to start
What you'll be doing:
The main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Review and validate Electrical Installation definition Design data for manufacture in line with applicable Design processes and rules for the relevant programs.
• Understand Level1 inputs and validate wiring architecture documentation at System Architecture level (ATA28 and ATA32 perimeters)
• Understand Functional inputs and validate Functional Electrics to Electrics Installation configuration documents.
• Ensure the delivery of technical solutions in accordance with relevant Design methods and procedures.
• Understanding and supporting the validation of design requirements.
• Analyse and validate design requirements and agreement of deviations with stakeholders if and when needed.
• You will support relevant cross functional working and integration to achieve a right first time delivery achieving all the planned and agreed milestones. All risks for which they are responsible are managed and mitigated or escalated where required.
• Interpret functional requirements provided by systems for production of Principle Diagrams (PD's), Extended Principle Diagrams (EPD's) and Wiring Diagrams (WD's) in a timely manner to achieve project targets whilst adhering to processes.
• New/updated functional requirements will be provided by systems which will have impacts on our production PD's/EPD's/WD's, these will need updating using the Capital and See-XP design tools to come in-line with the changes.

Requirements:

• You are proficient on all things Functional Electrics and its integration on the wider ESI deliverables across different functions.
• You have the ability to listen, understand and communicate information.

• Capital Logic
• SeeXP, Circe
• ICC/ACP
• Zamiz, ECM
• DPDS
• ACC2
• BCAWD
• Optegra & PASS/VPM

• Functional Electrics Approval Signatory is desirable but not mandatory. Candidates that have held Approval Delegations in the past will also be considered.
• Experience on aeronautics and aeronautical products is considered desirable but not mandatory. Candidates that hold experience in other industries and disciplines will be considered.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
