Maintain the standards for electrical installations as dictated by BS7671 and Audited by our professional affiliation with the NICIEC. Be available as required for the yearly audits carried out and maintain our internal filing systems with the correct documentation that can be reviewed during audits e.g. test equipment calibration certificates, test certificates and regulation updates.
Electrician Job Duties:
Mainly office-based role with site audits & inspections.
Acting as the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for our accreditation
Providing expert technical support to electricians across multiple contracts
Delivering technical and health & safety toolbox talks to electrical staff
Carrying out regular quality control inspections on works in progress and completed jobs
Ensuring all electrical works meet statutory regulations, industry standards, and organisational requirements

Ensure compliance with the IEE Wiring Regulations at all times, and that the appropriate materials used.
Carry out and complete all works to high quality and in a competent manner and with the premises being left in a clean and tidy condition.
To work with, and provide information relating to technical matters, to any group as directed by Line manager.
To liaise with other staff, Surveyors and Sub-contractors as necessary to ensure the timely completion of works within agreed operational targets.
Ensure that any required qualifications for your team are valid and to ensure that any necessary training is arranged and undertaken within the specified timescales.
To attend meetings, training sessions and Tool Box Talks as required.
To act at all times in accordance with the Companies rules, policies, procedures and regulations.
Experience Required
:
Electrical Qualifying Supervisor Experience
Fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition (BS7671) certification
City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Testing & Inspection qualification
Recognised existing Qualified Supervisor status with NICEIC/NAPIT (or equivalent) advantageous
Strong experience supervising electrical works, ideally within social housing or similar residential settings
Solid understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance obligations
Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
Specialist Knowledge and Skills:
Experience using NAPIT certification software would be advantageous.
A knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations
An understanding of the principles of good customer care
The ability to plan and organise your work.
Hold a Full Clean Driving License and have the ability to drive a company vehicle and comply with the requirements of the companies insurers.
