Your Role
As an Electrical Craftsperson you will service and maintain a range of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plant and machine equipment across the Cockermouth manufacturing site. With a proactive response to breakdowns you will be responsible for diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs. You will also support the projects team, assisting with installation of new equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical reactive & planned maintenance activities to James Walker standards.
Find faults and solutions across a wide range of James Walker equipment.
Work alongside and support other trades where necessary.
Working within a multi trade engineering team.
Carry out preventative maintenance work on James Walker equipment.
Interrogate PLC systems to assist with fault finding where appropriate.
Be part of a Call Out system to repair any key equipment which breaks down outside of core working hours.
Adhere to a Permit to Work system.
Contribute towards company and departmental success including the achievement of KPI's.
Maximise department efficiency and output.
Operate a right first time culture.
Have a willingness to embrace change and improvement.
Communicate and interact effectively at all levels

Knowledge of different PLC systems
PLC Interrogation
Current IEE Wiring Regulation Training(18th edition)
Working with Electro Hydraulic and Electro pneumatic systems

Recognised Apprenticeship Level 2 in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering

Current Edition of IEE Wiring Regulations
ONC in Electrical/Instrumentation
