Position: Electrical Design Engineer

As part of the design team, responsible for providing electrical design drawings required for BESS installations, the successful candidate will work closely with the project management, procurement and production teams to accurately design projects, providing electrical design oversight and technical assistance. To provide input to all aspects of project designs from scoping and design right through to bill of materials. The post holder will be responsible for design drawings, liaising with procurement and production to produce the final product.

About The Role:

• Taking on senior and lead technical roles on specific project\xe2\x80\x99s spanning multi-disciplinary engineering teams, being the senior technical authority on numerous engineering projects within the company.

• Undertaking Technical quality assurance reviews, providing design sign offs, as well as P&C related designs and deliverables whilst working with other teams across the business.

• Background in Electrical Component Selection.

• Keeping Technical compliances, procedures, design management on all works delivered.

• Experience in the design of HV and LV Switchgear panels.

• Continually improve the engineering capabilities within the company

• Preparation of Electrical Protection schemes for the power engineering Projects

• Compilation of SLD\xe2\x80\x99S/Block protection diagrams and specifying relay/protection panel designs.

• Compilation of both LV and HV project

About You

• Has completed a Degree within Electrical Engineering, or equivalent minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a design engineer.

• Capability of reading Electrical Engineering drawings.

• Will have the capabilities of implementing the best engineering practices across the business.

• You will be aware and understand all the relevant UK health and safety legislations.

• Autocad, MS office and solid works (beneficial).

• Competent in preparing cable calculations and Amtech.
