Electrical Design Engineer

You'll play a pivotal role in developing multi megawatt battery storage systems, focusing on Battery Energy Storage Systems for on and off grid projects. From electrical design and testing to compliance and on site commissioning, your work will be at the forefront of our commitment to a sustainable future.

What we expect from you

As our

Electrical Design Engineer,

you'll take on responsibilities across the entire product lifecycle, including:

Developing existing systems and taking research and development projects from concept to completion. Ensuring all systems meet British (BS) and European (EN) compliance standards. Collaborating with a talented engineering team on ground breaking renewable energy initiatives. Designing, conducting, and analysing test data for continuous improvement. Providing clear and professional communication in the office, on site, and with customers. Coordinate on implementing control algorithms (e.g., PID) and integrating them into embedded systems. Provide technical updates, contribute to planning, and ensure alignment with project timelines. Ensure full system development and coordination between different principals

Our ideal candidate is both skilled and self driven, ready to become a subject matter expert on MSP products. Key qualifications include

Electrical Engineering qualifications (HNC, HND, or Degree) or Electrician certification with Testing and Design experience or C&G 2396 Electrical Design. Strong schematic reading skills and deep knowledge of electrical testing principles. Full UK driving licence, a strong safety mindset, and a professional, well presented approach. Proficient with electrical CAD packages

Additional desirable skills

Familiarity with PLCs, communication protocols like Modbus and CAN, and experience with Hardware in the Loop (HIL). Familiarity with renewable energy systems and grid-tied and off grid configurations. Experience on PCS/Inverter systems, VFD
