The Job Mission

This is a hybrid role based at our Bristol (Aztec West) office, typically three days per week. We can only consider those within a commutable distance, though relocation support may be offered.

You'll play a key role in designing and maintaining the fire detection systems for a major nuclear project, ensuring technical accuracy, system integration, and full lifecycle compliance.

Responsibilities:

Produce and update documentation for fire detection systems Design and verify control logic and interface configurations Support system design, construction, and commissioning activities Review and maintain safety, environmental, and operating specifications Ensure full integration of 3D models and functional diagrams Manage modification requests and validate technical feasibility Collaborate across engineering teams to ensure design consistency

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

Degree in Electrical /Electronic Engineering or similar discpline Knowledge of fire detection and protection systems Experience in system design, testing, or documentation development Proven ability to review and manage technical documentation Familiarity with BS 7671 and IEC 60909 electrical standards Background in nuclear, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors Proficient in design tools and engineering data systems
