Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for technical items pertaining to electrical design services. These include but are not limited to; Lighting and Emergency lighting, LV distribution systems, fire alarm design, access control systems and security systems. The candidate will produce technical drawings for the above, electrical system schedules, report writing and specifications.

They should be open to mentoring of the junior electrical team members and working collaboratively across MEP activities. They will also be required to attend meetings, in person or virtually and be Client facing.

The successful candidate should have good understanding of the microsoft office platform (excel, word, outlook etc.) Should have experience in carrying out cable calculations and lighting calculations using software (Amtech, dialux etc.) Have knowledge and understanding of working in the 3D environment - i.e. Revit - and be able to coordinate design items as part of the team

They should be a member of a professional institution and be working towards or have gained Chartership status (IET / CIBSE etc.) On site experience and knowledge of installation methods is preferable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-42,000.00 per year
