Intermediate / senior Electrical Design Consulting Engineer - Job Advert

We are looking to hire an ambitious electrical engineer seeking a fast-paced and challenging role. The ideal candidate will have a mixture of site installation experience and a desire to further their career through a design role. The candidate must be well-versed in Building Services and have a track record working on residential and commercial projects for the top-end of national development companies. Experience with industry-specific software is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team with a flexible working approach to meet deadlines as necessary. What you'll do:

Producing various drawings such as Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Power & Data, Fire alarm/intruder alarm systems, Containment and Mechanical Services Wiring etc. Performing lighting manual calculations and checking it with Dialux evo for the maintaining the required illumination and also producing output results for clients. Performing cable sizing calculations and generating results using Amtec
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

What you'll need to succeed:

Either 18th edition C&G qualified, ONC or HNC in Electrical Engineering or Building Services or a relevant electrical engineering degree

Minimum of three years site based/ design experience in the building services industry

Ideally wishing to develop towards further formal qualifications

Ability to work individually or as part of a team

Hold a full UK driving licence

IT literate, ideally with experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Cymap, Dialux

Able to work in the UK without sponsorship

Perform lighting and cable sizing calculations

Excellent Communication skills

Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
