Electrical & Electronic Controls Team Lead

Job Description

If you're someone who would thrive leading a Technology team of Design Engineers to ensure delivery of products and services that are compliant and to quality, cost and delivery targets then this could be the opportunity for you. You will have demonstrable leadership experience in a relevant industry, ideally an Engineering or Manufacturing environment with experience of leading a small team.


Some of your duties will include:


Having responsibility for new product development projects Lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance Considering day to day process improvements Conducting regular technical design reviews Having responsibility for existing product care and maintenance Preparing, checking and releasing design changes Proposing technical and robust solutions Requiring good cross functional collaboration with internal and external partners Designing for procurement, cost, manufacturing and maintenance ethos

You'll have a passion for safety and quality and ideally a degree in Engineering or other relevant technical qualification. It would be advantageous if you're in the process of obtaining as professional qualification from a relevant/recognised Engineering/Technical body or authority.


You will also possess:


Experience in managing and leading small to medium teams Project management exposure preferred Software coding/authoring/managing experience - C/MatLab Hardware CAD electrical harnesses/schematics experience - (Draughtsight/Solidworks) Able to demonstrate hands-on approach to engineering design and development Be a collaborative team player and also capable of constructive challenges Competent IT Skills including Microsoft Office and other IT packages
