Electrician - North Wales



Location:

D1A Llys Y Dderwen, Parc Menai, Bangor, LL57 4BL

Pay:

16.35/hour PAYE or 21.19/hour CIS

We are looking for an experienced

Electrician

to join our team and support a variety of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works across

North Wales

. This role will mainly focus on rail environments (back-of-house areas) and group district estate sites.

Key Responsibilities:



Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine electrical layouts. Conduct inspections and testing of systems to identify and resolve potential issues early. Troubleshoot faults and implement timely, effective solutions. Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery. Maintain accurate records of work, materials, and time spent on each task. Mentor apprentices or junior staff when needed. Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and safety requirements. Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, ensuring all needs are met.

Requirements:



Valid electrician license or certification (18th Edition IEE Regs essential). Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training.

Minimum 5 years' experience

(rail sector work beneficial). Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Skilled with hand/power tools and able to work in varied environments. Good communication skills and problem-solving ability. Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

PASMA User 3T & AGR, IPAF certifications, other relevant electrical engineering qualifications.

Role Details:



Work primarily across

North Wales

with planned routes for efficiency. Occasional travel to other areas in emergencies or to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
