The Job Mission
This is a hybrid position, with three days based in Bridgwater and two days from home. Candidates must live within a commutable distance or be open to relocation support. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and technically robust electrical systems on Hinkley Point C. You'll collaborate closely with designers, contractors, and stakeholders to solve challenges and deliver project milestones.
Key responsibilities include:
Responding to general queries, non-conformances, change requests, and exemption requests
Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulation requirements
Challenging and aligning design decisions with overall project strategies
Coordinating technical support from external organisations when required
Contributing to the resolution and closure of outstanding technical issues
Assessing and mitigating technical risks within the electrical scope
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Responsible Designers and stakeholders
Reporting operationally to an Engineering Lead and supporting wider delivery teams
Qualifications
Essential Skills
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
Experience in electrical design, installation, and/or commissioning
Strong understanding of construction and installation industry standards
Ability to independently manage and escalate technical issues

Experience working in multidisciplinary technical environments
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Previous experience in a site-based engineering role
