Summary
We're seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering Department.
You will be a pivotal member of a team who provide safe, efficient and environmentally responsible proactive and reactive maintenance, repairs and solutions for site plant machinery and other pieces of equipment across the Brocklesby business.
Responsibilities
Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products
Develop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards
Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time
Completing PPM's (planned preventative maintenance) issued to you by the Shire System application
Define customer needs and requirements
Ensure that installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes
Perform quality and performance analysis on new and legacy IT systems
Summarise data and report on test results
Examine needs on new equipment
Monitor maintenance and inspection plans
Operation of all plant and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Communicate effectively with all other departments as necessary including factory operatives, drivers and management
Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work
Ensure you and your team's PPE is kept clean and in good condition, stored safely and used accordingly with site rules
Keep your line manager informed of any breakdowns or damage that could cause disruption to customers, or slow down production
Involvement in Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and developing of Standard Operating Procedures
To carry out all reasonable tasks allocated by the business
Work with line manager and other internal departments to effectively handle complaints and assist with support plans
Be expected to attend to travel to customers sites for breakdowns
Skills & Knowledge
Good experience in electrical fault finding under pressure including on control systems
Experience of programming and operating variable frequency drives
Experience working across site distribution switch rooms/sub stations down to domestic electrical installations in offices
Knowledge of Electrical Design Regulations, including BS7671
Experience in fault diagnosis and repair work on centrifugal & positive displacement pumps
Experience in replacing mechanical seals and bearings
Minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
Full Uk Driving Licence
