Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient Electrical Engineer to join our growing energy infrastructure team. You will play a key role in the installation, testing, and commissioning of low voltage (LV) systems, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and associated electrical infrastructure across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

?????o?????Interpret electrical schematics and layout drawings for BESS and renewable projects

?????o?????Install and terminate LV/DC cables, auxiliary panels, and control systems

?????o?????Conduct inspection & testing in line with BS 7671 and project specifications

?????o?????Support commissioning engineers during functional testing and energisation

?????o?????Liaise with OEM representatives during installation and fault diagnostics

?????o?????Maintain site records, redlines, and test certificates for QA compliance

?????o?????Ensure adherence to HSE and CDM regulations on all electrical works

Qualifications & Experience:

?????o?????NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

?????o?????ECS Gold Card (or equivalent JIB grading)

?????o?????18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

?????o?????City & Guilds 2391-52 (or willingness to obtain)

?????o?????Prior experience in industrial, renewables, or energy sector preferred

?????o?????Competence in cable glanding, battery wiring, and LV terminations

Desirable:

?????o?????G99/G98 compliance understanding

?????o?????HV/LV Authorisation (training can be provided)

?????o?????BESS or inverter manufacturer training (Tesla, SMA, Fluence)
