Job Description

We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer contractor for a 12 month project assignment. This is a contract role with the possibility of becoming permanent upon successful completion of the project.

Responsibilities:

Design electrical systems to relevant IEC standards Perform lighting calculations using relevant software Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings Ensure electrical designs meet safety codes and regulations Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and instrumentation engineers Provision of technical support to the tendering and project teams. Review/approval of installation drawings and diagrams. Review/validation of vendor designs and documentation - mechanical packages and motors, (1kw to 3000kW). Integration with other staff to ensure the cost-effective development and execution of the complete project. Implementing and contributing to the development of processes and procedures to ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved safely and cost-effectively.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting

Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards (IEC), and safety practices

Proficiency with AutoCAD and other relevant design software

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Knowledge of designing system in hazardous areas
