To apply electrical engineering principles to the design, maintenance, optimisation, and continuous improvement of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation in line with business objectives, statutory requirements, and company standards.
Responsibilities
Fault finding and troubleshooting of electrical systems during production.
Carrying out planned, preventative, and predictive electrical maintenance.
Installation, testing, commissioning, and modification of electrical equipment and systems.
Diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective corrective actions.
Responding promptly to electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Repairing and maintaining electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems.
Assessing the requirement for electrical spare parts and managing availability.
Reading, interpreting, and updating electrical drawings and schematics.
Ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant legislation, standards, and company procedures.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Undertaking effective planning and prioritisation of workload as required.
Ensuring resources are used efficiently and cost-effectively.
Completing and maintaining accurate, timely documentation and maintenance records.
Experience
Proven experience in electrical engineering roles.
Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
