Purpose of Role


As an Electrical Engineer at VINCI Facilities, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of large-scale commercial and public sector facilities. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of electrical infrastructure, supporting the delivery of high-performance building services aligned with client expectations and statutory compliance.



Working as part of a multidisciplinary facilities management team, you will contribute to the design, inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical installations. You will also provide technical support for planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive works, lifecycle replacements, and energy-efficiency improvements, while ensuring full adherence to health and safety standards and VINCI's commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

Responsibilities


Carry out planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, and control panels. Diagnose and repair electrical faults in accordance with IET wiring regulations (BS 7671) and VINCI Facilities' quality standards. Assist in the delivery of energy management and sustainability initiatives across the estate. Ensure all works are documented, logged, and compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., NICEIC certification, EICRs). Support project teams in the refurbishment, upgrade, or commissioning of electrical installations. Liaise with clients, contractors, and on-site teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical services with wider building systems.

Essential Qualifications/Skills


Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (2365) Foundation course covering electrical science, installation technology, and health & safety. Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (2365) Builds on Level 2 with more advanced technical and practical training. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (2357 or 2346) Work-based qualification that demonstrates competence through a portfolio of real-world tasks. AM2 Assessment Inspection and Testing (City & Guilds 2391-52)
