Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to make an impact on one of the UK's most significant water infrastructure projects? Join our team and take the lead on electrical design, installation, and commissioning for Coppermills WTW in Walthamstow, North London.



As an Electrical Engineer, you will support both design and site execution phases, ensuring compliance with project specifications, WIMES and Thames Water standards. You'll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical works from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Pre-Construction SupportReview electrical designs for compliance with standards and specifications. Provide constructability input to optimise design for safe installation. Prepare scopes of work, work plans, and phasing strategies for electrical packages. Manage material submittals and review supplier offers, preparing Technical Bid Evaluations. Assist with BOQs, cost estimates, procurement schedules, and budget verification. Develop Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and RAMS. Contribute to construction and commissioning strategy planning.

Site Construction Supervision & TestingSupervise electrical works on site, ensuring compliance with standards and safety requirements. Coordinate subcontractors and manage installation inspections. Monitor progress, productivity, and quality against programme targets. Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and inspections. Witness and supervise testing and pre-commissioning activities. Validate as-built drawings and support commissioning activities with clients and subcontractors.

Required Skills and CompetenciesDegree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical works within utilities, process, or water sector projects. Strong understanding of WIMES, Thames Water standards, and site safety requirements. Experience managing subcontractors and technical submittals. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

DesirableCSCS card, Thames Water Safety Passport and National Water Hygiene Card. Experience with major water utility projects and commissioning activities.
