Job Description

Our Footprints is seeking a proactive Electrical Engineer with Renewable Energy experience to join our team.

The suitable candidate will be interested in Renewable Energy and building client relationships. Projects will vary from small 0.5MW sites through to sites greater than 100MW, UK and overseas, with connection voltages typically from 11kV through to 220kV, across onshore wind, offshore wind, solar and BESS.

On-the-job training will be provided and site visits may be required from time to time. Short duration overseas project visits may be offered from time to time, but would not be obligatory. Desk-top elements of the role can be carried out from any location in the UK.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:



Electrical Engineer with responsibility for supporting the delivery of renewable energy generation projects from conception through to handover and onto operation and maintenance. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineering Manager the postholder will be actively involved with client, DNO and sub-contractor liaison and management.

MAIN DUTIES:



Key remit accountabilities are providing electrical engineering support to projects where Our Footprints are acting as Project Manager, Owner's Engineer, Lender's Technical Advisor . Providing general electrical engineering project support to the rest of the team. Managing contractors, sub-contractors and DNO originated requirements. Monitoring of operational sites, including liaison between client and operations provider. Competent at producing single line diagrams. Candidates must be comfortable working under their own initiative, as well as a key part of a project delivery team. Making Grid connection applications and liaison with all relevant parties. Project management and grid code compliance skills will be beneficial. Assisting with the creation of electrical aspects of tenders, bids and subsequent negotiations.
All team members have a remit to assist with:

Customer relationship management and contribution to Business Development campaigns. Identifying key targets in the Renewable Energy market. Consulting with prospective customers, identifying opportunities and building relationships.
