At Tata Steel UK, our packaging business based at Trostre is the UK's only manufacturer of steel packaging. We play a vital role in supplying high-quality steel to the UK, European, and global markets. Each year, Trostre transforms 400,000 tonnes of premium steel into packaging materials for food, aerosols, and other specialty applications used in everyday life.

What you will do
As an Electrical Engineer at Trostre, you will play a key role in delivering high standards of maintenance, inspection, and fault resolution to support safe and reliable production. You will:
Develop and deliver our preventative and corrective maintenance on our electrical systems
Diagnose and repair faults in plant equipment and automation systems
Provide electrical expertise to improve plant performance and reliability
Work in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards
Support the training and development of the electrical team and others
Develop and deliver improvement activities and technical investigations
You'll be working with systems such as PLCs, digital drives and AC/DC motors, will interpret technical drawings and ensure maintenance is completed to high engineering standards.
What you will need
You'll ideally be qualified to HNC/degree level and have:
Relevant plant or heavy industrial experience
An excellent understanding of modern electrical systems and safety protocols
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
The ability to work independently and under pressure
Experience of managing a team
Good IT and communication skills
