Role Overview

This is an opportunity for an ambitious, experienced Electrical Engineer to join a small, fast-growth team delivering exciting projects at the forefront of the UK's net zero energy transition.

You will be involved with the safe and compliant build of our combined Solar PV/EVCP/BESS technologies.

About the Role

Responsibilities will include:

Installing and testing the electrical infrastructure of our Papilio charging hubs, including cable management systems, trunking, EVCP's Solar PV panels, inverters and BESS. Collaborate with the electrical team to interpret schematics and drawings for accurate assembly Understanding and working to electrical standards in all areas, including BS7671, and relevant codes of practice (COP) Maintain documentation of assembly processes and quality checks Fault finding and rectification of installed systems. Testing and recording of the electrical installation ensuring compliance with regulations, specification, and customer requirements. Understanding and working to British (BS) and European (EN/CE) standards in all areas. Planning and implementing methodologies and procedures within your field of expertise for the benefit of the business. Contributing to the ongoing technical design and development of our combined Solar/EVCP/BESS technologies. When required, assisting in O&M duties at installed sites, supporting on site installation of units.
The role will be based at 3ti's manufacturing site in Woodbridge, Suffolk. There may be an occasional need for in-person attendance at our head office in Guildford, Surrey.

About You

You will have completed a time-served electrical apprenticeship, be an experienced and qualified electrical engineer with a proven track record in the Commercial & Industrial Electrical sector including inspection, testing, Solar PV and EVCP installation.

You are:

Highly professional, ethical and work to the highest standards

Extremely well-organised with proven experience in building and testing electrical systems

Able to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical diagrams

Mechanically adept with experience of assembly processes and component installation

A Health & Safety and Quality champion on a continuous drive to monitor and improve, implementing change where required and up to date with current legislation

Proactive, positive, enthusiastic, flexible and focused on delivery and results

Qualifications

Essential:

A minimum of 10 years electrical experience within the commercial and industrial sectors

BS7671 18th Edition qualified to include Inspection & Testing

AM2E

Experience of working with Ethernet and Modbus communication systems

Experience of Commercial Solar PV & EV Charge Points

Proficient in Office 365

ECITB Card

IPAF 3a & 3b

The right to live and work in the UK with a clean UK driving licence

DBS Clearance

Desirable:

Experience of working in a production line environment

It has an installed capacity of 19.3kWp and can produce up to 18MWh of electricity in year one, equivalent to 64,343 EV miles, saving 3.6 tCO2e.

Locations include the iconic Silverstone racetrack, Bentley Motors, JLR, Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre in Wiltshire, Surrey County Council and NHS Raigmore Hospital in the Scottish Highlands.
