As a rapidly growing company, we are specialists in the renewables sector. Due to our continuing growth and award of significant O&M contracts, this company has an exciting opportunity for a Level 1 Technician (Electrical) to join our growing team of professionals. This position supports the High Voltage (HV) O&M department and is approximately 80% site based and 20% office based. The work will include travel to remote renewable sites in the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities will include general operations and maintenance activities.

This role is for somebody with an industrial electrical background, and we will offer the additional training required for specialist activities such as high voltage switching and testing and works to be carried out on any specialist equipment.
Duties:
Assist with producing risk assessments and method statements for electrical works.
Assist and carry out maintenance, fault finding and repair on all electrical systems, initially on low voltage systems but with the opportunity to progress to high voltage systems with the appropriate experience and training.
Assist with the running the electrical safety systems to control work on operational sites such as wind farms and solar farms.
Ensure that all repairs and installations are compliant with BS7671 wiring regulations, best industry practices, manufacturers guidelines and contractual obligations.
Assist with producing monthly and ad-hoc reports as required for the Operations Manager.
Essential Requirements:
Full UK Driving License
Understanding of health and safety legislation in the UK and how it applies to electrical works.
An apprenticeship or an equivalent formal training programme in industrial electrical installation and maintenance with 1 year post experience
Experience in the installation and testing of electrical systems.
Problem solving skills necessary for electrical fault finding and repair.
Good computer skills, including Word and Excel
Desirable Requirements:
Hold a City and Guilds 2382 Level 3 certificate in the requirements for electrical installations BS 7671 (18th Edition) or equivalent.
Hold a City and Guilds 2391 Level 3 certificate in the inspection, testing and certification of electrical systems or equivalent.
Have enrolled or desire to enroll on an HNC/HND in electrical engineering or other further education courses.
