We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge system design projects, utilise advanced tools such as AutoCAD, Simulink, and Revit, and contribute to the realisation of complex electrical solutions across various sectors.
Duties
Execute carpentry tasks such as framing, installing doors, windows, and cabinetry, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic standards are met.
Perform repairs on structures and fixtures, addressing issues promptly to maintain a safe and functional environment.
Coordinate and execute painting projects, including surface preparation, colour matching, and applying finishes to maintain a visually appealing and well-maintained facility.
Conduct plumbing installations and repairs, including fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems, to ensure proper functioning and compliance.
Identify and resolve electrical issues, promptly, conducting root cause and analyses and implementing corrective actions to minimise downtime.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep the facility in optimal condition, including but not limited to patching walls, repairing flooring, and addressing general wear and tear.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and proactively address potential issues.
Adhere to Safety Procedures
- Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues.
Reporting Hazards -
Promptly report any unsafe conditions, hazards, or incidents to Supervisors or the Health & Safety department.
Proper Equipment Usage
- Use safety equipment and personal protective equipment as mandated for specific tasks or work environments.
Participation in Training -
Attend health and safety training sessions to stay informed about potential risks, preventive measures, and protocol changes.
Emergency Preparedness -
Comply with emergency evacuation procedures and participate in drills to ensure readiness.
Regular Safety Inspections -
Conduct routine safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards in the workplace.
Training and Education
- Ensure that employees receive adequate training on health and safety protocols relevant to their roles.
Incident Investigation -
Investigate any accidents or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Equipment Maintenance -
Oversee the regular maintenance and inspection of tools and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
Communication
- Foster an open line of communication regarding safety concerns and encourage employees to report issues promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Maths & English GCSE
City and Guilds 18th Edition Certificate or equivalent
Qualified to part 1 and 2 City and Guilds for electrical installations or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in plant and facilities maintenance
Understanding of plumbing
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Strong organisation skills
Thoroughness in inspections, repairs, and project execution
