The Position:

We're looking for an

Electrical Skills Development Coach in Electrical Installation. Full time



We have some cohorts of engineering apprentices working with new employers on exciting projects, we are looking for someone that can interface with clients externally and be an ambassador for NWSLC whilst training our apprentices.

Requirements for the role:



You must hold relevant qualification at level 3 qualification in electrical Installation. A full time served apprenticeship in Electrical Installation/Electrotechnical Able to assess level 3 apprentices on the L3 electrotechnical standard. A minimum of 5 years industrial experience in an electrical installation environment using latest technologies with an understanding of the skills required for more traditional installation and maintenance methods. Have a 2391 Test and Inspection Qualification. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification. Have experience of assessing portfolios using Smart Assessor application Desirable experience assessing engineering apprentices on IFATE standards. A desire to train the next generation of electrical engineers. Hold an assessor's qualification Hold an assessor's qualification Hold a full teaching qualification or willing to work towards. Literacy and Numeracy qualifications to at least Level 2 / equivalent or be prepared to develop a plan to achieve within the first year of appointment

Responsibilities for the role:



Planning and delivering all aspects of teaching learning and assessment. Deliver high quality training to apprentices and work-based learners. Work at our college sites and when required on site on employer's premises Inspire our students to excel in the sector and in their learning.

The Location:

The college is based in Nuneaton in a general further education setting. The college also has a site in Wigston, Leicestershire and the MIRA Technology Institute, there may be a requirement to teach at these sites for part of the working week.
