Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our Electrical team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating and supporting apprentices in their learning journey. This role involves working closely with students to enhance their understanding of various subjects, providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs, including those with special educational requirements.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in specific subjects as required. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes. Communicate regularly with parents, guardians and employers regarding student performance and areas for improvement. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence. Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support students with special educational needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance. Carry out on site visits to review and assess apprentices in the workplace

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with apprentices. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents. A Level 3 or Advanced Craft certificate in Electrical Installation. 18th Edition Wiring Qualification Ability to educate and inspire students, adapting approaches to suit individual learning styles. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed academically. Relevant qualifications in education or a related field would be an advantage.
