Due to recent major projects and investments, including the 50 million installation of the worlds leading electric arc furnace (EAF), as well as internal promotions in the Engineering department Marcegaglia Stainless Sheffield is recruiting for multiple Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join our ever expanding and experienced Engineering department

This is a shift based role on rotational 4 on 4 off shift pattern (continental), working Days (06:00-18:00) and Nights (18:00-06:00).

The main tasks and responsibilities include:

Accountability for all electrical work (planned / breakdown) occurring on the plant. Providing first line maintenance/breakdown support Managing electrical engineering activities on shift to comply with all internal and external health, safety and environmental requirements Assisting with the planning of shift activities where particular expertise is required. Carrying out and supporting continuous improvement activities when necessary. Providing relevant information and reports of plant breakdowns to assist in the completion of Single Event Analysis (SEA) and acting as a member of the team assisting in the implementation of actions to prevent re-occurrences where applicable. Generating accurate Engineering reports Leading, coaching and developing other employees, including apprentices
The ideal person will be:

Driven to work in a demanding and challenging environment. Have proven electrical experience in industrial environments. Able to demonstrate a good level of electrical knowledge and practical skills. Able to lead, coach and develop other employees. A good communicator, both verbal & written. Able to demonstrate good planning skills and problem-solving abilities. Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the health and safety and environmental requirements

Investments/developments at our Sheffield Meltshop (SMACC)

Since the take over at the Sheffield site, Marcegaglia have committed to increasing production and implementing a modernization program that will allow our melt shop to increase its output to over 500,000 tons per year. Major investments and project work has already started, including the 50 million installation of our state-of-the-art furnace and de-dusting system.

Working in our Engineering team will allow you to be involved in the design, development, training and delivery of all our major strategic investments and projects moving forward.

Pay: From 49,000.00 per year
