Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday rotating 07:00 - 16:00 / 14:00 - 22:00

Friday rotating 07:00 - 16:00 / 10:00 - 18:00

Holidays:

20 days, plus Bank Holidays

The Business

Evolution Foods produces a variety of healthy snacking products, including dried fruit, nuts, peanut butter, and children's puree fruit snacks.

Established in the early 2000s, the company has grown significantly, employing over 300 staff across four sites, 3 in Hortonwood and 1 in Halesfield, producing products for some of the UK's major retailers, including Aldi, Lidl, Co-Op, and Home Bargains.

The Role

This is an isolated Engineering role to support the Production function across day and night shifts. This role will require you to be hands on with electrical maintenance and engineering tasks.

Duties Include

- Ensuring industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably.

- An active position in generating ideas for improvement.

- Safe installation of machinery and control panels.

- Competent to oversee and resolve electrical fault finding.

- Continuous improvement of equipment day-to-day attention to electrical breakdowns and changeovers.

- BRC and Health and Safety paperwork to be completed daily.

- Supervise outside contractors and be confident in outlining BRC & Health and Safety processes are adhered to whilst on site.

- Keep up to date and log servicing records.

- Keep up to date, log and order spare parts and replacements with the Head of Engineering and the team when applicable.

- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM's) on all machines.

- Helping with general site building maintenance.

- Cover at Halesfield site as of when required.

Skills and Qualifications

- Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or proven experience/ability in a similar role.

- Desirable to have previous knowledge of Food Production processes.

- Electrical Qualifications to NVQ, G&G or ONC Level 3.

- Good working knowledge of associated disciplines including Project Management, Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering and Food Safety

- Excellent Communication skills to deal with all different levels of stakeholders.

- Leadership ability.

- Robust and flexible approach

Other

- Full UK driving license (Travel between sites may be needed).
