The role
As the Electrical Maintenance Manager on the Shiplift you\'ll have a role that\'s out of the ordinary. Areas of responsibility will include management and delivery of the electrical maintenance plan on the Shiplift, a unique facility for the lifting of nuclear vessels.

You will work in collaboration with the Shiplift Facility Manager, as well as MoD Customer (Internal & External) as required to deliver the required outputs.

Please note that the role holder must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Day to day, as the Electrical Maintenance Manager you will ensure delivery of the planned and reactive maintenance programmes on the control and protection systems of the platform and lifting equipment to meet safety, quality, cost and performance and targets.

• Lead, motivate all maintenance staff to deliver against our required outputs
• Directly manage a team of Electrical specialists and indirectly a number of Electrical Trades
• Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity and safety in accordance with set objectives and timescales.
• Work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems Of Work and control of work processes in accordance with Clyde policies.

Essential experience of the Electrical Maintenance Manager

• Proven experience of the management and successful delivery of maintenance programmes, including use of maintenance management systems
• Knowledge of business processes (HR, Finance Commercial)
• Demonstrable leadership skills gained within a management or supervisory role

This role is based on-site at HMNB Clyde with some opportunity for remote working.

Qualifications for the Electrical Maintenance Manager

• Degree qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline, or qualified to HND level or equivalent with relevant work experience
• ILM or similar management certification would be beneficial, but not essential if able to demonstrate proven management experience within a maintenance focused role

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
